I had a big week last week, capturing the 3-day Fierce Pharma Conference at the Philadelphia Convention Center for Doceree. I worked on an 11.5′ x 8′ wall, capturing key points of the various sessions held each day, using transcriptions provided by AI-produced summaries that included bullet-pointed takeaways. Which was fitting, since most of the sessions involved some discussion of how AI is being used to research, manufacture, and market new products. The whole thing was really a tech tour de force!
The wall was right in the middle of the floor, which meant people were constantly stopping to watch. And since I created a completely new chart each day, I often had to comfort concerned attendees who couldn’t believe I was taking down all the work I’d done the day before. I told them it was like one of those Buddhist sand paintings monks spend days creating and then just wipe away. Though of course in this case, everything was photographed.
